Ojol Gets Subsidized Fuel, Pertamina Opens Opportunities To Integrate Applications

JAKARTA - Pertamina President Director Simon Aloysius opened up opportunities for integration of online motorcycle taxi applications (ojol) with Pertamina. This integration is carried out as part of the subsidized fuel distribution plan (BBM) for online motorcycle taxis more regularly.

"For later continuation, for example, ojol and we need to combine the existing applications (ojol) with Pertamina, we are of course in the process, in the process for the continuation," he said at a press conference at the Ministry of SOEs Office, Jakarta, Monday, December 9.

However, Simon continued, if a new application is needed later, his party will also support it. Especially to anticipate so that subsidized fuel does not leak.

"We will do it with the resources owned by Pertamina both from digital hubs and from the IT team to continue to coordinate and look for the best application programs," he said.

"If there is one new application, of course we have to find a way so that potential misuse and potential leaks and others can be anticipated properly," he continued.

Regarding the recipients of subsidized fuel, Simon said that his party was in a position to wait for a decision from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. This is because Pertamina is only the executor.

"What is certain is that for subsidy recipients, we are still waiting because Pertamina is the executor. Of course we are waiting for the next decision from the government, from ESDM. Which of course we are sure that we will always side with the people," he said.

Simon also admitted that there had been no meeting between Pertamina and the Ministry of MSMEs to discuss the synchronization of ojol driver data. Even so, he said he had coordinated with other related parties.

"From our team, Patra Biaga has not. But in principle we have continued to coordinate with other governments," he explained.

Previously it was reported, MSME Minister Maman Abdurrahman said he had met with the ojol operator, Grab. After this, Maman admitted that he would summon other ojol operators.

The meeting between Maman and Grab representatives took place on Friday, December 6 at the Ministry of MSMEs Office.

Maman said that the meeting with Gojek was scheduled for next week. Meanwhile, Shopee is being arranged.

"It would be like if it wasn't Monday, Tuesday. Later it will be arranged. We will also invite Shopee to meet. We invite all platforms to discuss it," he said.

"But in principle, we are sure that all of that is just technology, it's just a matter of synchronizing everything," he continued.
