Hutama Karya Builds Integrated Cancer Service Building In Manado, Target Completed In May 2026

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) continues to contribute to supporting the government's priorities in the health sector through the construction of the Integrated Cancer Service Building at the Central General Hospital (RSUP) Dr. Kandou in Manado, North Sulawesi.

This project is worth IDR 241.26 billion and will be implemented under the Joint Operation (JO) scheme with PT Tigamas Mitra Selaras (HK-3mas JO), which Hutama Karya holds a portion of 70 percent.

SOE Minister Erick Thohir said that this project was in line with President Prabowo Subianto's vision to present a quality hospital in Eastern Indonesia.

"We support Hutama Karya to complete the project well and on time. This is the SOE's commitment to providing adequate health facilities in Eastern Indonesia," Erick said as quoted from Hutama Karya's official website, Saturday, December 7.

The signing of the project contract between the Commitment Making Officer of Dr. Kandou Jehezkiel Panjaitan and EVP of the Hutama Karya Building Division, Nyoman Endi Mahendra, was held at the Vasaka Hotel, East Jakarta, Friday, December 6, 2024.

The event was also attended by Operations Director II Hutama Karya Gunadi, Commissioner of PT Tigamas Mitra Selaras Yudhi Wibowo, and Plt. President Director of RSUP Dr. Kandou, drg. Yuli Astuti Saripawan, who joined online.

EVP Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim said this project would be Manado's first Integrated Cancer Service Building.

The 12-story building is designed to strengthen cancer services, including spine and orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, integrated heart services, NICU to radiology services and online consultations.

This project will be completed within 1.5 years, with a target of completion in May 2026. "In its construction, this project will absorb 500 workers, 80 percent of which are local workers," he said.

Adjib said the construction includes integrated cancer facilities, power houses, pump rooms and area development with the technology Building Information Modelling (BIM) to accelerate completion.

"This building will emphasize the function of Dr. Kandou Hospital as a Type A referral hospital in North Sulawesi. We are committed to building on time and on quality," he concluded.
