Kadin Asks The Government To Issue A Pokja SK For PSN Acceleration

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) has asked the government to officially issue a decree on the formation of a working group related to the Acceleration of Special Economic Zones (KEK), Industrial Estates (KI) and National Strategic Projects (PSN).

"We ask that this Pokja be formed, we will coordinate with the relevant ministries, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure, so that this Pokja is actually formed, officially SK," said Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for SEZ, KI and PSN, Akhmad Ma'ruf Maulana quoting Antara.

The relevant Ministry can propose each representative in the class of the Director or Director General (Director General), so that the challenges and obstacles faced by SEZ and PSN industry players are quickly resolved.

In a statement in Jakarta, Saturday, Akhmad Ma'ruf said, the working group (Pokja) formed by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for SEZ, KI and PSN together with elements of the government aim to encourage and accelerate economic growth by 8.0 percent according to government expectations.

In addition, in line with the direction of the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anindya Bakrie, through the program to accelerate the growth of the manufacturing industry, by optimizing the roles of SEZ, KI, and PSN in the next five years.

"Pokja together with government officials will solve various kinds of problems, both related to licensing and infrastructure problems," he said.

Akhmad Ma'ruf explained that this Pokja consists of various relevant ministries such as the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming / Investment Coordinating Agency (BKPM), Coordinating Ministry (Kemenko) for the Economy, Coordinating Ministry for Regional Infrastructure and Development, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Forestry, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Environment, and Ministry of ATR/BPN

Akhmad Ma'ruf said that Kadin will continue to oversee projects that are hampered by Kadin and private members, especially non-APBN projects.

According to him, the proposed Pokja to accelerate the non-APBN PSN will be reported to the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anindya Bakrie.

"So we will oversee so that the realization is fast, now our friends join everything is complete, the PSN and SEZ actors are present, and we really hope that the government can provide convenience, speed up, that's the goal," he said.

From the data on the investment plan for 41 PSN industrial areas, there is an investment commitment of around Rp2,785 trillion which will be realized in stages, including investment in KI infrastructure development and tenants in it.

Until 2024, it is estimated that investment realization in the PSN industrial area will reach IDR 68 trillion. Based on the results of the estimated and simulation of additional investment value in KI, the investment target in the medium term is IDR 481 trillion.
