The Results Of The Visit To Several Countries, Prabowo Brings Investment Commitment Of 18.5 Billion US Dollars

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto revealed investment commitments worth a total of 18.5 billion United States (US) dollars obtained from his visit to a number of countries on 8-21 November 2024.

"It doesn't exceed. So, I came home with a total commitment of 18.5 billion US dollars, I think this is quite good," said President Prabowo Subianto as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, November 22.

Prabowo admitted that this achievement has shown global confidence in the promising economic stability in Indonesia.

To respond to this, President Prabowo conveyed the Indonesian government's strong commitment to creating an investment ecosystem that is free from corrupt practices.

"So, of course, we have to be more careful, of course, the government is clean and they really respect our faith," he said.

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, who accompanied the President, explained that President Prabowo's success in bringing investment commitments could not be separated from the role of diplomacy to a number of countries and forums for international meetings.

During the first month of his leadership, Sri said, Prabowon had held a series of bilateral meetings with world leaders in Beijing, as well as participated in the latest APEC, G20 forums in the UK.

"Yes, you have said that you have exceeded the target, but the important thing is that the President has said to meet bilaterally 'leaders' in Beijing and then in APEC, the G20 and now in the UK," he said.

At every opportunity, said Sri Mulyani, President Prabowo consistently conveyed the vision and priority of the government, which was reflected in his speeches after the inauguration.

Still said Sri Mulyani, Prabowo emphasized his commitment to opening up Indonesia to business opportunities, as well as overcoming problems such as inefficiency, corruption, and creating a conducive environment for investment.

The main goal of this policy is to create jobs, eradicate poverty, and reduce unemployment, which is a top priority for the current government.
