Deputy Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Fahri Hamzah revealed that local governments (Pemda) together with developers are required to have housing data for both community homes and houses built in their area.

"From the data on houses owned by the local government, it will certainly be able to be used for various housing program preparations. And, we also invite developers in the regions to be more enthusiastic about building people's houses," he said in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, November 19.

The data is needed as the basis for the preparation of programs and policies in the housing sector so that the implementation of the 3 Million House program can be carried out properly.

The existence of identification related to the condition of people's houses in the regions is part of the government's efforts to map and collect data on the residents' residences.

"In this case, the Ministry of PKP together with the Poverty Reduction Acceleration Agency will process existing data to find out the people who are at the poverty line or are prone to poverty for the handling and assistance of government housing," said Fahri.

He also said that the task of the Ministry of PKP was to make the 3 Million Houses program a success according to President Prabowo Subianto's direction.

In this case, the target for housing development in rural areas is 2 million units and in urban areas as many as 1 million units, so local government and developers support is needed.

"For example, related to land certification or data on people's houses, it can be an asset. And, from assets such as houses, the government can distribute aid and alleviate poverty in the field," he said.
