JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir remsi appointed Military Commander Tsani Panjaitan as President Director of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk replacing Irfan Setiaputra.

The appointment of the Tsani Panjaitan Military Commander and the dismissal of Irfan Setiaputra was decided at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) which was held today.

The EGMS was held at the Garuda Management Building Auditorium, attended by holders 68,582,827,291 shares, or 74.97 percent of the total shareholders of Garuda Indonesia to approve the agenda for Changes in the Company's Management.

"I will carry out this mandate by conducting a comprehensive financial and operational review, accelerating the company's performance, and expanding the network and improving service quality," said Garuda Indonesia President Director Wamildan Tsani at the EGMS at the Garuda Indonesia Office, Jakarta, Friday, November 15.

Wildan also conveyed the mandate of President Prabowo Subianto. He said Prabowo paid special attention to Garuda Indonesia, and gave directions so that he could continue the process to bring this national airline back to the pride of Indonesia.

"For that, he emphasized that the presence of Garuda Indonesia can be felt not only by the Indonesian people, but also again known by the world," he said.
