Garuda Indonesia Holds EGMS Tomorrow, President Director Irfan Setiaputra Will Be Replaced By Lion Air CEO, Military Commander Tsani Panjaitan?

JAKARTA - PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) is preparing to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS), tomorrow. One of the agendas is the change of commissioners and directors of the company.

The GIAA EGMS was held at the Garuda Indonesia Management Building Auditorium, Garuda Indonesia Headquarters, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten on Friday 15 November. The meeting will start at 14.30 WIB.

"Together, we invite them to be present at the agenda of the EGMS of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk," wrote a letter sent by the Corporate Communications of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk to VOI, Thursday, November 14.

Previously, it was reported that PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk was scheduled to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) on Friday, November 15. One of the agendas is the reshuffle of the Board of Commissioners and Directors.

The news was confirmed by the President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Setiaputra when met after the launch of Livery Pikachu Jet GA-2 at The Dome Senayan Park, Jakarta, Friday, November 8.

"Yes, there is indeed an GMS on the 15th, the EGMS, the agenda is changes to the board, the board is the director and commissioner," said Irfan.

In the midst of news about the Garuda Indonesia EGMS, news emerged that the Acting CEO of Lion Air, Deputy Military Commander Tsani Panjaitan would replace Irfan Setiaputra in the position of President Director of Garuda.

When asked about the possibility of Military Officer Tsani entering Garuda's board of directors, Irfan admitted that he did not know about this. However, Irfan said, the candidate for Garuda Indonesia management is the shareholder's authority, in this case the Ministry of SOEs.

"We are professionals, so when we are asked to thank you, when we replace it we also thank you, if it really needs to be replaced. So this is beyond our authority as a professional, so this is entirely the authority of the shareholders, and we respect that," said Irfan.
