JAKARTA - The General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) of PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA) has agreed to divest two assets of Steam Power Plant (PLTU). Each PLTU has a capacity of 2x50 MW or has a total power plant capacity of 200 MW.
Director of PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk, Juli Oktarina said, the PLTUs that were divested were PT Minahasa Cahaya Lestari (MCL) PT Gorontalo Listrik Perdana (GLP). The PLTU buyers are PT Kalibiru Sulawesi Abadi (KSA).
"We will get 144.8 million US dollars from divestment," he said when met after the GMS in Jakarta, Thursday, November 14.
The fresh funds obtained by the company are higher than the Company's initial investment value of 87.4 million US dollars.
Juli said the funds from this divestment will provide financial flexibility for FFB to invest further in sustainable sectors, including waste management, new and renewable energy, as well as the electric vehicle ecosystem.
"Furthermore, this corporate action also helps the Company to gain access to more varied and competitive financing sources, as well as opportunities for investment in the larger sustainability business sector," he continued.
