Continue Cleaning SOEs, Erick Thohir Targets Retirement Funds

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir emphasized that his party will continue the BUMN cleaning program. One of the focuses is the settlement of the case of pension funds or state-owned companies.

Erick said there were many corruption cases within state-owned companies. According to him, this problem is homework (PR) that must be resolved.

"We will continue to clean up SOEs so that they can provide many benefits for the people of Indonesia," he said, quoted from the official Instagram @erickthohir, Tuesday, November 5.

Furthermore, Erick said that in cleaning up, his party would also see the Attorney General's Office (AGO).

"We are now starting to meet with the Attorney General's Office. Again I will encourage the consolidation of pension funds. Of course this is PR that was left behind yesterday regarding the pension fund cleaning program," he said.

Erick said this step was also in line with President Prabowo Subianto's vision to strengthen the prevention and eradication of corruption.

"The settlement of the Jiwasraya, Asabri and Garuda cases is an example of our commitment to eradicate corruption within the Ministry of SOEs," he said.
