Need 5 GW Energy, MIND ID Will Optimize Technology To Press Emissions

JAKARTA - Director of Portfolio and Business Development MIND ID, Dilo Seno Widagdo, said that MIND ID requires an energy supply of at least 5 GW within the next 5 years.

Dilo said, with the primary energy requirement of 5 GW in the next 5 years, the company prioritizes the implementation of technology and the application of circular economic principles, so as to manage emissions at controlled levels.

"We will self-help to provide 5 gigawatts of primary energy. Of course this is a very large energy, and we really care about the emissions to be generated. We consistently apply good technology and circular economy in order to be able to maintain and reduce emissions," he said in a statement to the media, Thursday, October 24.

Dilo explained that the MIND ID Group is planning to implement carbon capture by building a supercritical technology generator. This plant will be able to increase efficiency in energy production and low emissions.

The carbon emissions produced will also be stored, and can even be placed in the sea to become blue carbon so that it can support a lot of marine life.

"This technology-based circular economy is what we will put forward. This is a form of sustainable mining responsibility that we will emphasize," he said.

Dilo emphasized that PT Bukit Asam Tbk. as a world-class energy company, it will be encouraged to become an energy supplier for MIND ID Group generators.

"Of course we will ask Bukit Asam to apply the best technology so that this energy fulfillment can be achieved while still paying attention to the level of carbon emissions," said Dilo.
