Ministry Of Transportation Starts Operation Of Bogor Batulis Underpass

The Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation (DJKA Kemenhub) through the Class I Railway Engineering Center Bandung BTP Bandung has begun operating the Batutuli Underpass located in Bogor, West Java.

Head of BTP Bandung Endang Setiawan said that the operation of the Batutulis underpass was carried out, one of which was to reduce level crossings in the West Java region.

"DJKA through BTP Bandung continues to be committed to handling level crossings in our working area, one of which is by building underpasses in Batutulis," he said in an official statement, Thursday, October 24.

Endang explained that before the underpass was fully operational, one route per 5 minutes took turns at the Batutulis JPL10 demolition location starting October 22, 2024 at 23.00 WIB until October 23, 2024 at 03.00 WIB and after that, two lanes will be operated normally.

"Then on October 24, 2024, because there is paving work that takes place from 23.00 to completion," he explained.

Furthermore, Endang said that his party had carried out an Operational Trial which was carried out together with the Bogor City Government, the Bogor City PUPR Service and the Bogor City Transportation Service.

"For the Underpass Function Feasibility Test, it will be carried out in parallel together with the operation of the Batutulis Underpass," added Endang.

Endang appealed to people who will cross Jalan Raya Batutulis and Jalan Saleh Danasasmita to be careful when crossing Batutulis Underpass to reduce potential accidents.

In addition, Endang said the construction of the 320 meter long underpass was also to unravel congestion on the highway and in the Batutuli Station area.

"We thank the entire community for their support during the underpass development process and related stakeholders, especially from the Bogor City Government, Bogor City Police, Bogor City PUPR Service, Bogor City Transportation Service, South Bogor Sub-district Head and his staff and Forkompinda who have collaborated to carry out socialization of the operation of this underpass of the song," added Endang.

In addition to underpasses, DJKA through BTP Bandung also makes arrangements for Batutulis Station which includes structuring emplades, developing stations and adding passenger facilities.

"With the arrangement of Batutuli Station, we hope that the quality of train passenger services can increase," concluded Endang.
