Muliaman Hadad to Head Danantara Agency, the Forerunner of SOE Superholding

JAKARTA - Muliaman Darmansyah Hadad was given the mandate to become the Head of the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (Danantara) in the Red and White Cabinet in the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government.

Quoting Antara, the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (Dantara) will be projected as the forerunners of state-owned enterprises (BUMN).

As the person in charge of the Danantara Agency, Muliaman Hadad will be directly under President Prabowo Subianto, who refers to a concept such as Temasek Holdings Limited, which is a state-owned enterprise in Singapore.

Then, the existence of the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) in the Danantara structure is one of the focuses, which professional management models are one of the main focuses, where Public Service Obligation (PSO) functions or Public Service Obligations will be released.

The man who was born in Bekasi, April 3, 1960, in his youth studied from a Bachelor's degree in the Development Study of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at the University of Indonesia and earned a Bachelor of Economics degree in 1984.

Then, in 1990, he took a S-2 education at the John F. Kennedy Government School, Harvard University, United States (US), and earned a Master of Public Administration title in 1991.

In 1996, Muliaman Hadad earned a Doctor of Philosophy title from Monash University, Australia.

He served as Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia in 2006-2012, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2012-2017, then Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Switzerland concurrently Liechtenstein from 2018 to 2023.

In the realm of corporations, he has served as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) since 2023, and Independent Commissioner of PT Astra Independent since 2023.
