Coordinating Minister For The Economy Airlangga Hartarto's 100 Working Day Target

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto conveyed that regarding future performance, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs would wait for further directions from President Prabowo Subianto.

"(This first 100 days) Yes, first we will wait for the direction of the President," he told reporters at his office, Monday, October 21.

According to Airlangga, the medium and long-term performance targets are to strengthen food and energy self-sufficiency so that it can create jobs, increase investment and reduce poverty.

"Regarding the targets, there are targets that are medium-term, long-term. Yes, it has been submitted many times regarding the target of self-sufficiency in energy, food self-sufficiency, related to job creation, increased investment, then decreased coefficients like this, decreased poverty," he explained.

Previously, Airlangga said, there would be further discussions related to the stages of assignment, including regarding future fiscal policies.

Regarding the long-term economic sector, Airlangga said that the Government will continue to encourage people's purchasing power to be optimally maintained.

In addition, there are several ministries that are no longer under the coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, and there is an expansion of the range of assignments with increasing aspects of investment, energy and natural resources, as well as tourism currently under the coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy.

In the future, in accordance with the target set by President Prabowo Subianto, the national economy will continue to be encouraged to grow, create jobs, and decrease in indexes related to poverty.

In addition, Airlangga explained, related to a number of programs in the future, starting from sharpening subsidy programs, renewable energy will continue to grow, to international economic cooperation which in the near future there will also be G20 and APEC forums.

"Well, of course coordination with foreign ministries is important, because of course there is a new realization. So we need to collaborate with all ministries, as well as ministries outside the economic coordinator. Because we have to talk about fiscal policy, talking about trade policy, it can't be done entirely, with the ministry of finance too," said Airlangga.

Regarding the various changes in the structure and direction of the upcoming policy, Airlangga said that it would be possible internally for adjustments to be made, so that the adjustment is expected to take place smoothly and quickly.
