Profile Of Maruarar Sirait, Minister Of Industry Of The Prabowo Era Who Has Assets Of IDR 85.8 Billion

President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated Maruarar Sirait as Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (Menpera) for the 2024-2029 period in the Red and White Cabinet of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Ara, his nickname, was officially sworn in today at the State Palace, Jakarta. The appointment of Ara as Minister of SOEs was announced by Prabowo and Gibran at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Sunday, October 20.

Ara himself is not a new face in the world of politics. He is the son of Sabam Sirait, a PDI politician who was the result of the 1973 party fusion and the PDI-P. Following in the footsteps of his father, Ara has joined the PDI-P politician since 1999.

Ara's political career is even more brilliant, he served as Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives for four terms starting from 1999-2004. Then, 2004-2009. Then, 2009-2014 and 2014-2019.

In January 2024, Ara decided to resign from the party led by Megawati Soekarnoputri.

Not long after his resignation to the PDI-P, Ara decided to join the Gerindra Party to support Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election.

In terms of education, the man who was born in Medan, on December 23, 1969, has a educational background as a graduate of the course of Political Sciences, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung, West Java.

Maruarar Sirait's Wealth

Based on the State Officials Wealth Report (LHKPN) from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in 2019, Maruarar Sirait's total wealth reached IDR 85.80 billion.

In detail, Erick is recorded as having assets in the form of 31 plots of land and buildings with a total value of Rp74.47 billion spread across Bandung, Subang, Tangerang City, South Tangerang, Toba Samosir City, Bogor, North Jakarta, South Jakarta, Pematang Siantar City, and Humbang Hasundutan City.

Ara also has three vehicles with a total of Rp1.15 billion. Consisting of 2012 Fotton Ambulance cars, 2017 Toyota Alphard cars, and 2017 Toyota Fortuner cars.

Still citing LHKPN, Ara also has other movable assets worth Rp7.24 billion, securities worth Rp11.07 billion, cash and cash equivalents worth Rp19.95 billion, other assets worth Rp5.5 billion, with debt ownership of Rp33.78 billion.
