Again Inaugurated As Coordinating Minister For The Economy, Airlangga: Alhamdulillah, Get A Heavy Mandate

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated Airlangga Hartarto to return to become Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs in the Red and White Cabinet.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs must work harder because it will oversee and coordinate the Ministry of Energy, Investment and tourism.

"Thank God we have a heavy mandate, we need to work harder, especially since there are changes to the concentration from the Coordinating Ministry's office, because currently investment energy is also under the Coordinating Ministry and tourism," he explained to the media crew, Monday, October 21.

Therefore, Airlangga said that his party would work as much as possible to be able to collect foreign exchange, increase investment, and open up more jobs.

"The message is clear, you have to collect foreign exchange, increase investment, you have to open up more jobs," he said.

Meanwhile, with the addition of the Coordinating Ministry in the red and white cabinet, namely the Coordinating Ministry for Food which was filled by Zulkifli Hasan and the Coordinating Ministry for Regional Infrastructure and Development by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, as well as the absence of the Coordinating Ministry for Investment and Maritime Affairs which was previously occupied by Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan so that the functions and duties that oversee the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs will change.

As previously reported, in Presidential Regulation Number 67 of 2019 concerning the Implementation of Tasks and Functions of the Ministry of State of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet 2019-2024, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs coordinated, Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Manpower; Ministry of Industry; Ministry of Trade; Ministry of Agriculture; Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency; Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises; Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises and other agencies deemed necessary.
