Pondok Rajeg Station In Depok Officially Operates

DEPOK - Pondok Rajeg Railway Station (KA) officially operates in Cilodong District, Depok City. This inauguration was immediately carried out by the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi, this Saturday.

The Minister of Transportation said he was happy to take the electric train (KRL) from Nambo Station to the station.

"Buhgia had taken the train from Nambo here (Patok Rajeg Station)," Budi said, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, October 19.

Budi said the operation of Pondok Rajeg Station in Depok was directed by President Joko Widodo to connect between places equipped with public transportation modes.

"There are a lot of KCI-run KRLs. The President always asks us to connect one place to another equipped with inter-modal modes. Want to go to Rangkasbitung, Bekasi, Tanah Abang so that everything can be done," said Budi.

Budi said that so far, public transportation modes have been built by connection.

With the hope that Pondok Rajeg Station can be more intensive and effective.

"All of our connections are built by train from KCI, the local government. Pondok Rajeg Station is expected to be more intensive. I invite increased the effectiveness of urban mass transportation," said Budi.

Budi added that to support the mode of transportation to Pondok Rajeg Station, the Depok city government can build a terminal.

"I hope, Mr. Mayor, please budget for the construction of a Type C terminal within a range of 1 to 5 km, it could be 10 or even 15 km," he said.

"This is important for the collaboration between the Regional Government and the Central Government and of course good news to the people of Depok who usually use KRL," said Budi.

Budi added that the journey of one train by another is a KRL in Pondok Rajeg, which is still an hour.

"Regarding the Headway or one train with another, now it's still an hour, it's almost added because today it's crowded," said Budi.

Meanwhile, Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris expressed his gratitude for the reactivation of Pondok Rajeg Station and is now operating.

With this station in Pondok Rajeg, Depok residents get a profit, namely equitable development.

"The benefits for us in equitable development in areas that have been possible so far, people have encouraged Margonda to be sensitive, but this has actually been answered directly by the Minister," he said.

"Our collaboration is that the development in Depok City has reached border areas such as in Bojongsari and also here (Pondok Rajeg)," said Idris.

Idris revealed that besides that the existence of Pondok Rajeg Station was able to improve the surrounding economy.
