BI: Banten Has Potential For Industrial Development To Property

JAKARTA - Representative of Bank Indonesia (BI) Banten Province said that Banten has potential for industry developers, housing to commercial properties.

Head of BI Banten Representative Ameriza M. Moesa, in Serang, Friday, October 18, said the latest economic conditions, both globally, nationally and regionally. Banten Province has the prospect of economic growth in 2024 which is projected to remain optimistic and more positive than the previous year of 4.7-5.5 percent.

Meanwhile, annual inflation in 2024 in Banten Province is estimated to be in the range of 2.5 percent, with opportunities lower than 2023.

He said that Banten Province has potential for the development of industrial estates, housing, and commercial properties. This is in line with the large share of real estate for the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) of Banten which is still quite high.

"Backlog of house ownership which reaches 12.7 million households and a backlog of 6.8 million household occupancy, is one of the potential spaces to improve the economy in Banten," he said, quoted from Antara.

Bank Indonesia and the Government support this development through a policy of buying houses with a maximum LTV/FTV ratio relaxation of 100 percent, as well as a 100 percent Government Borne Value Added Tax Incentive (PPN DTP) for house purchases until the end of 2024.

Meanwhile, the Acting Secretary of the Banten Province, Usman Assidigi Qohara said that the Regional Government continues to show its commitment to boost the regional economy through the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID), the Banten Economic Development Forum, the People's Business Credit Policy (KUR), the Regional Digitalization Acceleration and Expansion Team (TP2DD), and various other collaborations that make a positive contribution to the development of the Banten economy.

"The regional economy and finance of Banten Province are very helpful for local governments in fixing the economy through quality economic growth for the welfare of the community," he said.

He said the property sector is one of the leading sectors in Banten Province. So that his party invites all stakeholders, both at the provincial, district and city levels, to work together in the development of housing and residential areas in Banten Province to support economic growth in the property sector.
