JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), as one of the Construction and Investment SOEs in Indonesia, provides assistance in the form of making drill wells and cleaning water reservoirs to meet the daily needs of water resources for Oelpuah villagers in Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province.
This assistance was realized by PTPP as one of the initiatives for Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) which was adjusted to the development and needs of the community. The construction of drill wells and clean water reservoirs as a clean water program began in August 2024 along with the 71st anniversary of PTPP.
Oelpuah Village, which is located in Central Kupang, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, is a village that has 5 hamlets, consisting of 1,696 people, 411 families, and 13 RTs.
Prior to this clean water program, villagers had difficulty getting clean water, especially when the dry season arrived. Some residents still rely on rainwater, some residents even earn dry rivers to get clean water. Due to the high need for water resources, Oelpuah villagers buy water sent via tank cars for IDR 150 thousand/car.
Seeing this condition, PTPP has the initials quickly in providing clean water programs in the form of constructing wells and clean water reservoirs that have a capacity of 31,416 Liters to meet the needs of Oelpuah villagers.
