Minister Of Transportation Budi Calls Human Resources The Main Milestone Of Transportation Progress

Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi said human resources (HR) are one of the main milestones of the success and progress of transportation.

Therefore, he said that human resources in the transportadi sector must continue to improve their quality.

Budi said that the success and progress of the transportation sector really depends on quality human resources that are able to design, maintain, operate, and explore transportation systems.

"For this reason, the development of human resources is very important to produce Indonesia's superior talents in the transportation sector," he said in an official statement, Thursday, October 3.

In the last 10 years, continued Budi, massive development in the transportation sector has strengthened Indonesia's economic and social foundations. This great achievement includes the development of physical infrastructure and digital transformation.

Therefore, said Budi, the current and future transportation human resources need to be able to deal with digital transformation and the sophistication of the latest infrastructure.

"Transportational human resources must continue to upgrade themselves in order to adapt in the midst of changing times that are so fast. Self-development can be through education and training programs to realize an innovative and sustainable transportation system," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chancellor for Resources and Finance Ida Nurlinda also emphasized the importance of producing quality graduates from high schools in the transportation sector.

He explained that quality here means that apart from mastering science and technology, it also has character and can contribute significantly to national development achievements.

These graduates have a strategic role as transportation development agents who need to get support for sustainable human resource development. Therefore, collaboration between academics, practitioners, and stakeholders is very important to produce graduates who will become professionals who are able to face challenges," said Ida.
