JAKARTA - Pertamina's President Director, Nicke Widyawati, has again made achievements by occupying the 47th position on the Fortune's Most Powerful Women 2024 list.

This position increased significantly from the position 67 years earlier, this achievement proves Nicke's strong leadership in bringing Pertamina to the best performance. As the only Indonesian representative, Nicke has succeeded in bringing Pertamina into a world-class energy company.

Pertamina's Vice President of Corporate Communication, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, said that this assessment from leading international media proves the capability of Nicke Widyawati as the world's leading female business leader.

"Under his leadership, Pertamina has achieved various significant achievements," said Fadjar in a written statement, Thursday, October 3.

Nicke, he added, also appreciated the support and performance of Pertamina's Pertamina Officers, so that they were able to run Pertamina's business in all lines with maximum results.

Meanwhile, several Pertamina innovations under Nicke's leadership include digital transformation so that it can achieve business effectiveness and efficiency. Pertamina is currently also actively developing various clean energy such as geothermal, biofuel, and solar energy, as Pertamina's commitment in dealing with climate change and supporting the Indonesian Government's Net Zero Emission target.

In addition, business expansion in the global arena, where Pertamina continues to expand its business network to various countries and establish partnerships with business partners. This is done to increase national energy security, with the "Bring The Barrels Home" program.

At the end of 2023, Pertamina also made the highest financial performance achievement in history, namely recording a total profit of US$4.77 billion or around Rp72.7 trillion. The profit gain rose 17 percent compared to profit in 2022.
