Supporting The Dissolution Of The Ministry Of SOEs, Ichsanudin Noorsy, BUMN Criticism Is Used For Football

JAKARTA - Indonesian economic political observer Ichsanudin Noorsy supports the disbandment of the Ministry of SOEs in the era of President-elect Prabowo Subianto.

Ichsan also assessed that BUMN is mostly used as a political tool by its ministers even in the affairs of football in the country.

"Since 2005, I have initiated the establishment of the State-Owned Enterprises and Business Management. One of the goals is to differentiate between the political (entity) and the business (entity) region," said Ichsanudin, Monday, September 30.

He acknowledged that the Minister as the deputy shareholder of BUMN has the flexibility to appoint someone as a commissioner or as a director. But the problem is whether the minister makes decisions based on academic standards, subjective or objective measures.

One example is making the naturalized player of the Indonesian football national team Ragnar Oratmangoen one of the Brand Ambassadors of Bank Syariah Indonesia. Ragnar, who was suddenly appointed as the ad star, is certainly questionable.

"When someone is declared an ambassador, the big question is, what achievement does he have in that field? Is there any trace, track record that shows he has achievements in that field. So he is used as an ambassador? Well, this is a political decision or career decision like that," said Ichsanudin.

He considered that Erick Thohir as Minister of SOEs played more politics than completing economic and business affairs in SOEs.

"On the one hand, there is indeed an increase in assets in SOEs. But at the same time, he charges the state budget like that? That's how it is measured. Likewise, when we say that we have burdened the state budget through state capital participation, whose debt is also extraordinary," he said.
