JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has ensured that the BSD Toll Road for the Serpong 'Balaraja Section 1B will start operating today.
The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of PUPR explained that the free operation of the Serpong 'Balaraja Toll Road will last until the Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) of the Minister of PUPR is issued.
"Starting today September 30, 2024, the Serpong (Serbaraja) Toll Road Section 1B of the CBD Interchange Interchange for Legok Interchange along the length of 5.5 km is operated functionally without tariffs," explained BPJT in its official Instagram account @pupr_bpjt, Monday, September 30.
In his explanation, the Serpong 'Balaraja Toll Road plays an important role in facilitating community mobility and easing the burden on vehicles in the Greater Tangerang area, Banten.
In addition, the toll road is also expected to strengthen the connectivity ecosystem between the economic center and residential areas around the Tangerang area to shorten the travel time from and to Jakarta.
"In this initial stage, toll operations will be opened functionally without being subject to tariffs for the time being to provide convenience and trial of infrastructure readiness as part of the socialization of toll road users," added BPJT.
