President Jokowi Successfully Landing Smoothly At IKN Airport PTPP's Garapan Project

JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) as the main contractor in the construction of the Nusantara Capital Airport Project (IKN) has succeeded in facilitating the inaugural landing of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo using the Presidential Aircraft RJ-85 at Nusantara Airport, East Kalimantan Province, on Tuesday, September 24.

The arrival of the plane was greeted with a water salute procession that marked a historic moment in the airport's operation. Also witnessed the inaugural landing of the Presidential Aircraft, namely the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN and Plt. Deputy Head of OIKN Raja Juli Antoni, Acting Governor of East Kalimantan Akmal Malik, East Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Pol Drs. Nanang Avianto, Pangdam VI/Mulawarman Major General TNI Tri Budi Utomo, Acting Regent of North Penajam Paser Muhammad Zainal Arifi, Head of the PUPR Development Task Force Danis H. Sumadila, and Yul Ari Pramuraharjo Operations Director of PTPP Infrastructure.

Until now, the progress of the IKN Airport project construction has a Runway length of 2200 x 45 meters which can accommodate 3 narrow bodies or 1 narrow body aircraft and 3 helicopters. This project will be targeted for completion by the end of 2024 which will later be able to accommodate 7 narrow bodies (Boeing 737 aircraft or Airbus A320) and 3 wide body aircraft with an airport Runway length of 3000 x 60 meters.

On this inaugural landing, President Joko Widodo expressed his gratitude for the success of the first landing of the presidential plane at Nusantara Airport.

"Alhamdulillah, this is the first landing, all of which went well, everything went smoothly. And this is my first time going down at Nusantara Airport (Nusantara Airport)," said the President.

Furthermore, the President of the Republic of Indonesia conducted a review of the IKN Airport project and traced the runway, during the review the President of the Republic of Indonesia expressed his appreciation for the smooth landing.

"Mulus, yes very good, (the airport) is not too big, but more than enough," said Jokowi at IKN Airport.

Director of Operations for Infrastructure of PTPP Yul Ari Pramuraharjo is proud of the first successful landing of the President of the Republic of Indonesia aircraft at the IKN Airport Project.

"Alhamdulillah, the inaugural landing of the President of the Republic of Indonesia's aircraft at Nusantara Airport was successful and went well, of course, PTPP as the main contractor is very proud to have been trusted to be a big part of this historic moment," said Yul Ari.

PTPP is optimistic in completing the IKN Airport project which is targeted at the end of 2024.

"The progress of the construction of Nusantara Airport will continue, with a high commitment, we are confident that we will complete this project with the best quality, on time, zero accident, and in accordance with the predetermined standard," concluded Yul Ari.
