PTPP Distributes Aid To Victims Of Explosion Of The Balongan Refinery

JAKARTA - Construction BUMN, PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) provided social assistance to residents affected by the explosion at the Balongan Oil Refinery in Indramayu, West Java. The assistance was given directly to the evacuation site received by the Indramayu Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) at GOR Bumi Patra Balongan on Tuesday 30 March.

The logistical assistance provided consists of ready-to-eat food (instant noodles, biscuits), mineral water, rice, satefy kits (masks, hand sanitizers), toiletries (shampoo, soap, towels), eucalyptus oil, children's and baby necessities ( milk boxes, baby diapers), blankets, sarongs, and other victims' needs.

During March 2021, PTPP has provided social assistance for the needs of worship, education, and other facilities and infrastructure in various parts of Indonesia. The Company is also sorry for the fire disaster of the Balongan Oil Refinery that occurred in Indramayu, West Java some time ago.

"We hope that the local people affected by the fire can patiently accept this ordeal. The company through the project team has moved quickly to help victims affected by the fire by distributing logistical assistance to the evacuation posts," said PTPP Corporate Secretary Yuyus Juarsa in a written statement. , Wednesday March 31st.

During this March, he said, PTPP had also provided various social assistance to several regions in Indonesia. The social assistance provided by the company is a form of contribution and corporate social responsibility in an effort to improve the welfare of the Indonesian people, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The company as one of the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) is ready to oversee the Government's program in handling the COVID-19 pandemic which has the status of a national disaster. In addition, this assistance is in line with the BUMN program, namely: BUMN for Indonesia," he explained.

Yuyus added that this social assistance is also one of the company's annual programs that will continue to be distributed to various regions in Indonesia. With the spirit of sharing this kindness, PTPP hopes to ease the burden on Indonesian people who are less fortunate and who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
