Staff Of Erick Thohir Regarding Ex-Director Of Indofarma Becomes A Suspect: Part Of Cleaning Up SOEs

Special Staff to the Minister of State Affairs (BUMN) Arya Sinulingga said the appointment of the former President Director of PT Indofarma Tbk with the initials AP as a suspect in the manipulation of the company's financial report (fraud) was part of the BUMN cleaning.

"This is part of the SOE cleaning that continues to be carried out in Pak Erick Thohir's program as Minister of SOEs," Arya told reporters, Friday, September 20.

Arya said that the opening of corruption cases in SOEs was not the first time this had happened.

The Ministry of SOEs, he continued, is always committed to eradicating perpetrators of misappropriation of financial reports.

His party always works to find irregularities so that the transformation of SOEs can really be realized.

"This is not the first time BUMN or management or management has committed corruption. So this clean-up will continue to be carried out by Mr. Erick in other SOEs," he said.

Regarding the determination of AP as a suspect who manipulated the company's financial statements, Arya said that this was a follow-up to what the Ministry of SOEs reported to the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). Furthermore, the results of the report from the BPK were followed up by the prosecutor's office.

"Yes, this is part of what we said at that time, yes, there was a fraud in Indofarma, after there was a change in management, we did an audit and we found something like that," said Arya.

It is known that the Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has named the former President Director of PT Indofarma Tbk for the 2019-2023 period as a suspect in a corruption case. AP is said to have manipulated PT Indofarma's 2020 financial report.

AP plays a role in making receivables/debts and down payments for the purchase of fictitious medical devices, as if the company's targets were met.

To achieve the company's target, the suspect GSR as Director of PT Indofarma Global Medika (PT IGM) 2020-2023 sold panbio to PT Promedik (a subsidiary of PT IGM).
