BPS Says China Is The Largest Non-Oil And Gas Export Destination

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that in August 2024 China became the largest export destination country for non-oil and gas (oil and gas) followed by the United States (US) and Japan.

Deputy for Distribution and Services of BPS Pudji Ismartini said that the export value of the three countries provided a share of around 43.54 percent of Indonesia's total non-oil and gas exports in August 2024.

"Non-oil and gas exports to all countries/main destination areas increase monthly," said Pudji at a press conference in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 19.

Pudji said Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports to China reached 5.33 billion US dollars or an increase compared to July 2024 which amounted to 4.83 billion US dollars. This value is also equivalent to 23.83 percent of the total non-oil and gas exports.

Then, non-oil and gas exports to America were recorded at US$2.61 billion, an increase compared to the previous month's US$2.16 billion. This value is also equivalent to 11.66 percent of the total non-oil and gas exports.

Furthermore, the value of non-oil and gas exports to Japan reached 1.80 billion US dollars, or an increase from the previous month of 1.78 billion US dollars. This value is also equivalent to 8.05 percent of the total non-oil and gas exports.

Meanwhile, the value of non-oil and gas exports to countries in the Asean Region reached 4.12 billion US dollars, or an increase from the previous month of 3.72 billion US dollars. This value is equivalent to 18.42 percent of the total non-oil and gas exports.

Meanwhile, the value of non-oil and gas kspor to the European Union reached 1.54 billion US dollars, or an increase from the previous month which reached 1.44 billion US dollars. This export value is equivalent to 6.90 percent of the total non-oil and gas exports.

Meanwhile, the value of other exports reached 6.96 billion US dollars, or an increase from the previous month which reached 6.89 billion US dollars. This export value is equivalent to 31.14 percent of the total non-oil and gas exports.
