Construction Of Duty Free Nusantara Mall At IKN Is Expected To Increase The Economy Of Local Residents

JAKARTA - The Duty Free Nusantara Mall construction project in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan (Kaltim), is expected to improve the economy of residents around IKN.

President Director of PT Kusuma Putra Alam Ali Hanafia Lijaya explained that this mixed-use complex was built with the aim of attracting interest, both from local and international. It is hoped that this project can improve the economy of residents around IKN with an investment value of IDR 5 trillion.

"Hopefully the Duty Free Nusantara Mall project can welcome Nusantara Baru Indonesia Maju," Ali said in an official statement, quoted from Antara, Friday, September 13.

The existence of Mall Duty Free Nusantara is expected to further strengthen IKN's position as a modern and integrated center in the future.

For information, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the Swissotel Nusantara Hotel and conducted a groundbreaking for the Duty Free Nusantara Mall, in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), Friday (13/9).

The complex of star hotels and shopping centers is a project built by the Nusantara Consortium. This complex will include shopping centers, five-star hotels, serviced apartments, and various other supporting facilities that carry the concept of people-oriented and environmentally friendly (green) and futuristic.

President Jokowi gave his highest appreciation and appreciation to the Nusantara Consortium for their success in building Swissotel Nusantara within 9 months.

Swissotel Nusantara has started operating in conjunction with the commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The hotel offers facilities in the form of 191 luxury rooms, NUSA Restaurant, meeting rooms with various capacities, swimming pools, and fitness centers.

Furthermore, Duty Free Nusantara Mall will be managed by ASRI, a subsidiary of Agung Sedayu Group known for the management of well-known malls in Jakarta, such as Mall of Indonesia, ASHTA District 8 SCBD, PIK Avenue, Grand Galaxy Park Bekasi, and Hublife Taman Anggrek Residences.
