The Price Of East Kalimantan FFB For The Period 1 To 15 September 2024 Rose To IDR 2,815.37

The price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) for palm oil in East Kalimantan Province for the period 1-15 September 2024 rose to IDR 2,815.37 per kilogram (kg), for FFB which was harvested from trees aged 10 years and over.

"This big price is FFB which is harvested from trees aged 10 years and over, while the age of planting below it, the price is slightly lower," said Head of the East Kalimantan Plantation Service, Ence Achmad Rafiddin Rizal, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, September 13.

In the last three periods, the price of East Kalimantan (Kaltim) TBS has continued to increase, namely the period 1-15 August rose to Rp2,693.69 per kg, the period 16-31 August rose again to Rp2,752.49, and the period 1-15 September rose again to Rp2,815.37 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of FFB which is harvested from trees under the age of 10 years, the details of the 3-year growing tree are set at IDR 2,480.71 per kg, up from the previous period (16-31 August) which was valued at IDR 2,425.38 per kg.

TBS harvested from a 4-year-old tree was set at IDR 2,647.45 per kg, an increase compared to the previous period of IDR 2,588.52 per kg.

Then FFB from a tree with a age of 5 years Rp2,661.76 per kg, a age of 6 years Rp2,690.02 per kg, a age of 7 years Rp2,706 per kg, a age of 8 years Rp2,726.51 per kg, and a FFB harvested from a 9 year old tree rose to Rp2,782.58 per kg.

Rafiddin also said that for the crude palm oil (CPO) price weighing the September 1-15 period of IDR 12,612.29 per kg, there was a slight increase compared to August 16-31 which amounted to IDR 12,561.45 per kg.

The price of the kernel or weighted palm kernel is set at IDR 8,212.37 per kg, an increase compared to the previous period which was valued at IDR 8,089.24 per kg.

He explained that the price-fixing team consisted of cross-sectors, including the East Kalimantan Plantation Service, representatives of several planter groups, and representatives of various palm oil companies.

Rafiddin, who is also the Head of the FFB Price Determination Team, said that the FFB price only applies to plasma gardens or partnership gardens, including self-help plantations in partnership with factories, in accordance with Minister of Agriculture Regulation Number 01/Permentan 120/1/2018.

"For this reason, palm oil plantations must form a group and partner with palm oil processing plants, so that the selling price of FFB is not played by the middle, because if farmers organize it will be strong institutionally," he said.
