Jokowi said that the Stabat-Tanjung Pura toll road was built since 2020 for 26.2 kilometers (km) with a budget of IDR 11.6 trillion.

Meanwhile, the Tebing Tinggi-Serbelawan-Sinaksak toll road was built since 2018 for 45.6 km and spent a budget of IDR 6 trillion.

Thus, the construction of the two toll roads costs IDR 17.6 trillion.

The President said that this toll road will be part of the 2,994 km Trans-Sumatra Toll Road which is expected to have reached 1,100 km by the end of 2024.

"Especially for this toll road, there are only 40 km left to reach Parapat on Lake Toba. There are very few left," he said.

According to Jokowi, the presence of this toll road will encourage the growth of new economic centers in the surrounding corridors, increasing regional competitiveness and the logistics system for the mobility of people and goods to accelerate.
