MotoGP 2024 Mandalika Ajang Pacu Ekonomi Dan Pariwisata Nasional

JAKARTA - PT Pembangunan Pariwisata Indonesia (ITDC) said the 2024 MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara on September 27-29 was an event to spur the economy, as well as national tourism.

"Because this is an international event that can lift the economy and also the tourism sector is soaring very quickly. The evidence has penetrated the figure above IDR 3 trillion last year," said Commercial Director of PT ITDC Troy Reza War.

He said that his party had prepared side events at the event to attract more interest from domestic and international tourists, such as Riders Spirit which was held on September 25, which was attended by all MotoGP 2024 riders.

Troy said that at the time of the opening of the event, his party also prepared 200 personnel who showed Indonesia's cultural collaboration.

Currently, he said, preparations for the implementation have touched more than 80 percent.

He added, for ticket sales, ITDC has collaborated with sales outlets to carry out promotions, as well as with Bank Mandiri which provides a program of IDR 1 for the Mandalika 2024 MotoGP ticket.

"The Rp1 program with Bank Mandiri has immediately released more than 1,000 tickets and several/including tickets for VIPs," he said.

The manager of Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara, announced the temporary closure of the circuit for the general public in order to prepare various supporting facilities ahead of the Indonesian MotoGP event on 27-29 September 2024.

During this closing period, the technical team and operational staff will make various improvements and improve facilities to ensure the circuit is in optimal condition.

Preparations include repair and improvement of circuit facilities such as track, paddock, and inner-circuits, including the addition of roofs in Grandstand A stands.
