Synergy With Vale Indonesia, Pertamina Patra Niaga Boss: Cleaner Fuel Supply

JAKARTA PT Pertamina Patra Niaga together with PT Vale Indonesia Tbk have established a strategic partnership in providing environmentally friendly fuels to support decarbonization efforts according to Indonesia's target to achieve net zero emissions by 2060.

President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Riva Siahaan said this collaboration marks a joint commitment to reducing carbon emissions through the use of clean energy.

The reason is, through the use of HVO, environmentally friendly fuels that have the potential to reduce carbon emissions by 85 percent and greenhouse gas emissions by 90 percent.

He added that his party through the Pertamina One Solution service provided integrated energy solutions designed to meet the needs of various business partners, including PT Vale Indonesia Tbk.

"This solution includes the provision of cleaner fuels as well as efficient logistical support and infrastructure, ensuring business operations run optimally and sustainably," he said in a written statement, Monday, September 9.

In addition, Riva continued, the strategic partnership between Pertamina Patra Niaga and PT Vale Indonesia Tbk is not only focused on providing clean energy products, but also on community empowerment programs.

"In addition to decarbonization, this partnership also aims to help strengthen the implementation of ESG and support PT Vale Indonesia Tbk in the scope of compliance with environmental regulations implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, including the assessment of the PROPER rating. This collaboration is in line with PT Vale Indonesia Tbk's efforts to increase environmental sustainability standards in their operations," he said.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Vale Indonesia Tbk Febriany Eddy revealed that this strategic collaboration is in line with the company's decarbonization roadmap.

This cooperation is very important for PT Vale Indonesia Tbk in achieving and increasing sustainability standards and reducing carbon emissions throughout our operations. Products and services from Pertamina Patra Niaga, such as HVO, will be very helpful in our decarbonization journey," he said.
