Menteri ATR: Pembangunan Sistem Pertahanan Di IKN Perlu Dipercepat

BANDUNG - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) assessed that the development of a defense system in the capital city of the archipelago (IKN), East Kalimantan, needs to be accelerated.

This was conveyed by AHY when giving a public lecture at Graha Widya Adibrata Sesko TNI, Bandung City, West Java, Friday, September 6.

"In my opinion, it must take precedence and accelerate the development of our defense system there," he said.

Meanwhile, the basic infrastructure that has been built is for the executive area, such as the Presidential Palace complex to the offices of the Coordinating Ministry (Kemenko).

AHY assessed that air defense development and the sea were needed. Given, IKN is the new capital city of Indonesia.

He also emphasized that he would immediately convey the idea to Elected President Prabowo Subianto.

"It does require a budget, of course I will convey this message to Pak Prabowo Subianto, our elected president. 'Sir, we are thinking together on the security defense aspect in the new capital city of Nusantara so that the progress is even faster," said AHY.

On the same occasion, AHY revealed that the Ministry of ATR/BPN through the Land Bank Agency had prepared 150 hectares (ha) of land for the TNI Headquarters and 150 ha for the National Police Headquarters.

The two headquarters are located in the VVIP IKN Airport area which has prepared an area of 4,000 ha by the Land Bank Agency.
