Ending August, JCI And Market Capitalization Recorded The Highest Record

JAKARTA The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) announced that based on IDX stock trading data on weekends for the period 26 to 30 August 2024, the Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) again set a new record and strengthened by 0.57 percent to the level of 7,670.733 from the previous record at the level of 7,658.875 on Wednesday, August 28.

In addition, market capitalization also set a record high of IDR 13.114 trillion today, beating the previous record on Wednesday, August 28 of IDR 13.043 trillion.

According to data a week, the highest increase occurred in the average daily exchange transaction value of 86.73 percent to Rp35.86 trillion from Rp19.20 trillion in the previous week.

The average daily transaction frequency of the Exchange during the week also increased by 10.64 percent to 1.2 million transactions from 1.08 million transactions a week earlier.

Furthermore, the stock market capitalization also increased by 2.62 percent to Rp13,114 trillion from Rp12,779 trillion last week.

Then, the JCI also experienced an increase during the week of 1.68 percent to 7.670.733 from 7.544.298 last week.

Meanwhile, the average daily transaction volume of the Exchange has changed by 1.41 percent to 19.40 billion shares from 19.67 billion shares the previous week.

Today's movement of foreign investors recorded a net purchase value of IDR 11.21 trillion and throughout 2024 foreign investors recorded a net purchase value of IDR 27.72 trillion.
