Minister Of PUPR Basuki: Handling 22 Roads In West Java Strengthens Connectivity

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono revealed that the handling of 22 regional roads in West Java (West Java) increases connectivity and provides smoothness to road users.

"Improving accessibility and connectivity of road and bridge infrastructure networks to provide smoothness, safety, security, as well as the comfort of road users," Basuki said in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, August 29.

The handling of 22 regional roads through the Regional Road Instruction (IJD) in West Java will be carried out in 2023 with a APBN fee of IDR 521 billion along 121 km spread across 15 districts/cities.

Furthermore, 16 Callender Hamilton Bridges were completed in 2021-2023 with construction costs of Rp793.3 billion. spread across 9 districts/cities. The total bridge length is 1,030 meters and the handling length is 3,479 meters.

It is hoped that the replacement/dupplication of this bridge can also improve road transportation services in West Java, both North Cross, Central Cross and South Cross.

Then the inauguration of the Ciloseh Bridge in Tasikmalaya City which was completed in 2021-2023 at a state budget cost of Rp112.7 billion.

The Ciloseh Bridge was built with a length of 252.1 meters and a width of 22 meters to become a new icon in Tasikmalaya City with 2 Kujang Monuments as high as 25 meters.

The Ciloseh Bridge connects the Tasikmalaya Northern Ring Road to the border of Ciamis Regency, to be precise the Jalan Cisumur Garuda section (Letjen H. Mashudi and Jalan Nasional Dr. Mohamad Toha Tasikmalaya).

The construction of this bridge as part of the northern circle of Tasikmalaya City is expected to increase connectivity and accessibility to Tasikmalaya Airport and City.

In addition to increasing connectivity and accessibility, it will also overcome congestion within the City of Tasikmalaya.

For information, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono inaugurated 22 Regional Roads handled through Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023 and the replacement of 16 Callender Hamilton Bridges (CH) in West Java Province as well as the construction of the Ciloseh Bridge in Tasik City.

The construction and repair of road and bridge infrastructure in West Java aims to increase connectivity, streamline logistics costs and also accelerate the mobility of people and goods.
