KPUPR Disburses IDR 67.11 Trillion To Build 9.2 Million House Units During Jokowi's Government

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) realized a state budget (APBN) of IDR 67.11 trillion to build 9,206,369 occupancy during 2015-2023, including the distribution of self-help houses by repairing uninhabitable houses (RTLH).

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said that the provision of decent housing in Indonesia is not only reserved for Low-Income Communities (MBR), but all Indonesian people who need houses must be well served.

"We hope that in the future the community housing supply program must continue to be implemented, and even the achievement target will be increased," said Basuki in his official statement, quoted on Thursday, August 29.

The realization of the housing supply program carried out by the Directorate General of Housing from 2015 to 2023 includes the construction of 65,235 flats (Rusun), 37,516 special houses, 1,432,278 housing construction stimulant assistance, and 220,665 units of PSU construction assistance.

Financing support was also provided by the Directorate General of Public Works and Housing Infrastructure Financing in 2015-2024 worth IDR 146.21 trillion through the FLPP distribution program of 1,119,063 units, BP2BT 30,422 units, SSB as many as 805,511 units and SBUM as many as 1,529,585 units.

Meanwhile, in FY 2024, the Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR has absorbed the housing development budget of IDR 4.95 trillion as of August 16.

For physical achievements as many as 1,050 units of flat construction, 447 units of special houses from the target of 2,705 units, 18,578 units of Self-Help Housing Development Stimulant Assistance from the target of 83,039 units and 12,613 units of PSU Development Assistance from the target of 19,650 units.

The Director General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR, Iwan Suprijanto, said that the achievement of housing development with a large enough amount could not be separated from the role of all stakeholders, the community, local governments, development/development actors and CSR who always contribute to the provision of houses for the community, both MBR and non-MBR.

"The Ministry of PUPR expresses its appreciation and gratitude for the contribution of all stakeholders in the housing sector. Hopefully in the future, the housing program will run well in the field," he said.
