200 Cataract Patients In Bogor Receive Free Operations From Sido Muncul

JAKARTA - PT Industri Jamu Dan Pharmacy Sido Muncul, TBK again provides health services through the implementation of free cataract operations. This time, Sido Muncul together with Central Perdami SPBK held free service operations for 200 cataract sufferers at Hermina Hospital Bogor, on Tuesday 27 August.

The aid was symbolically handed over by the Director of PT Industri Jamu and Pharmacy Sido Muncul TBK Irwan Hidayat to the Director of RSU Hermina Bogor dr. Muyi Ayoe Hapsari, MM.

Present on this occasion were witnessed by the Head of Health Services at the Bogor City Health Office, Drg. Elva Adhyaksani, Head of the Bogor City Social Service Dani Rahadian, Head of BPJS, and Treasurer of SPBK Perdami Dr. Rio Rhendy, Spm (K)

Irwan Hidayat said that the implementation of free cataract operations was part of Sido Muncul's commitment to help reduce the number of people with cataracts in Indonesia, which continues to increase every year.

"As of 2011 until now, Sido Muncul has operated more than 56,000 eyes throughout Indonesia. With this activity, we hope that the number of people with cataracts will be smaller. Because if you lose sight, 50% of the quality of life is lost. Moreover, there are a lot of cataract problems and it continues to grow every year. For this reason, our presence here is not only helping, but also telling people that cataracts can be cured only with surgery, "said Irwan Hidayat.

In addition to Free Cataract Operations, Sido Muncul also continues to be committed to increasing concern for the community. Sido Muncul also provides free cleft lip surgery in various regions in Indonesia and provides assistance to stunting sufferers.
