Targeted To Be Completed In 2025, This Is The Progress Of The South Japek II Toll Road

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) continues to strive to complete the construction of the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II South Toll Road along 64 kilometers (km).

It is known that the toll road project is divided into two phases. The first phase is the 31.25 km Sukabumi-Sadang section. Currently, the progress of land acquisition has reached 97.95 percent with a construction progress achievement of 86.08 percent.

Then, the second phase, namely the Setu-Sukabuh segment along 23.50 km. The second phase is divided into Section A Setu-Sukaragam along 10.50 km with land acquisition progress reaching 77.95 percent and construction progress of 19.34 percent.

Meanwhile, Section B, namely Sukaragam-Sukabungah, now the progress of land acquisition has reached 95.82 percent with a construction achievement of 33.53 percent.

Jasa Marga's Director of Business Development M. Agus Setiawan said, until now the overall construction progress has reached around 40 percent.

"The South Japek 2 Toll Road itself is currently being constructed. For sections from Setu to Sukabungah it's package two, then from Sukabungah to Sadang it's package 3. So, currently the progress for the construction as a whole is around 40 percent, land acquisition has reached around 80 percent," he said in the Public Expose 2024, Wednesday, August 28.

With the existing progress, said Agus Setiawan, Jasa Marga also targets the toll road to be completed next year.

"We hope that with the current progress, with the availability of land that can be constructed, we are targeting this by 2025 the construction, God willing, it will be completed," he added.

Meanwhile, based on VOI records, this toll road was opened functionally during Eid al-Fitr 2024. The functional path is the Sadang-Kutanegara Segment towards Jakarta.

Road users from the direction of Bandung can enter the functional lane of the South Japek II Toll Road, Sadang-Kutanegara Segment through KM 76+400 Cipularang Toll Road, out to Sadang. Then, turn back above the Interchange to the functional toll road.

After passing a functional 8.5 kilometer (km) path, road users will pass a 15-20 km non-toll road to re-enter the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards Jakarta via the East Karawang Toll Gate (GT) at KM 54 or West Karawang GT at KM 47.

"The diversion of traffic flow to the functional lane of the South Japek II Toll Road is currently being carried out to maximize traffic distribution as well as break down traffic congestion to the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road from the Bandung direction," said PT JJS President Director, Charles Lendra, in a written statement, Sunday, April 14, 2024.
