Bayung Lencir-Tempino Section 3 Toll Road Construction Targeted To Be Completed By The End Of August 2024

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) targets that the construction of the Bayung Lencir-Tempino Toll Road Section 3 along 15.47 kilometers (km) can be completed by the end of August 2024.

This follows the progress of the paid freeway which has reached 97.56 percent as of August 23, 2024.

The project, which is worked on with an operating cooperation scheme (KSO) with PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (Wijaya Karya) and PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) (Brantas Abipraya) (KSO HK-Wika-BAP) can be used in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim said the construction of this toll road has entered its final stage and has completed work such as overpass structures, bridge structures, interchange structures and on pile slab structures along 4.06 km.

Then, piles and excavations, rigid violence (rigid main road) along 11.4 km and asphalting of 4.79 km of roads (including ramps and intersections).

"Currently, the team in the field is focusing on the remaining work, including the completion of 57-meter rigid road, toll gate (GT) building and field intersection," said Adjib quoted from Hutama Karya's official website, Tuesday, August 27.

To speed up his work, intensive coordination is carried out with all relevant parties to ensure that every stage of work runs according to schedule and meets the quality standards that have been set.

There are a number of challenges that are quite significant faced by KSO HK-Wika-BAP, including soft ground conditions and land subsidence on the main road that exceeds the original plan.

"Facing these challenges, KSO has carried out special handling, ranging from comprehensive mapping and geotechnical analysis to understanding the ground conditions as a whole and using preloading, slab on pile and geofoam structures in areas of decrease or large enough land shift," he added.
