Megawati Calls Paskibraka Bacteria, Basuki's Subordinates: Water Data In IKN Zero E-Coli

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that clean water in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, can be drunk.

This was conveyed by the Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force (Satgas) Danis H. Sumadilaga when met at the PUPR Ministry office, Jakarta, Friday, August 23.

"It's (to be drunk). I've received a report from Sucofindo, this is at KIPP (Inti-Center Government Area) all of them," he said.

Regarding Escherichia coli bacteria, Danis also showed that based on reports from Sucofindo, drinking water distributed at KIPP IKN does not contain these bacteria.

"I'm just talking about this data, from the (report) Sucofindo that the Escherichia coli bacteria are zero according to Sucofindo. This report is only August," he said.

According to Danis, there are three conditions to determine if drinking water can be drunk. First, it relates to microbiology such as related to bacteria, then there are also physical matters, meaning riots, odors and so on. Then, related to color and some are chemical, metallic and so on.

Previously, Spokesperson for the Ministry of PUPR Endra S Atmawidjaja said that clean water would begin to be distributed entirely in the buildings of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) on August 17.

This was conveyed by Endra when met by reporters in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Wednesday, July 31.

"We are still trying to get all of them back on August 17 (August 2024)," he said.

Endra ensured that the clean water could be utilized on August 17.
