The Ministry Of PUPR Calls The Toll Project At IKN Completed This Year

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has ensured that the construction of toll roads in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, will be completed this year.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of PUPR Endra S. Atmawidjaja said the projects were ready to be auctioned off to toll road business entities (BUJT) after completion. "After the three-sex toll road (at IKN) 3A, 3B and 5B," said Endra, quoted on Friday, August 23.

Endra said, there are a number of projects in IKN that are also confirmed to be completed this year, namely Taman Kusuma Bangsa, Palace and Presidential Office and VVIP Airport. Other projects are several toll roads, namely Sections 3A, 3B and 5A.

"The three-sex (thin) toll road in December. 3A, 3B and 5A are finished. Then 1A, 1B continued in 2025," he said.

He revealed that the toll road projects must follow the provisional handover (PHO) process before being auctioned off by the government. The goal is to ensure that the project has been built according to standards.

In addition, these projects must also go through a maintenance period of six months. In this process, the contractor is responsible for improving various things that are deemed not to be in accordance with the standard.

According to Endra, after the maintenance period is complete, the government will only hold the auction of these projects.

"After six months, it must be transferred to the operator. Well, it is the operator's responsibility. Until then, whether the operator will be Jasa Marga, Hutama Karya, Waskita Karya or something else, yes auction. Clean water is also auctioned," he said.
