JAKARTA - The Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board has stated that it will invest in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan. They intend to buy 100 hectares (ha) of land.
Responding to this, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Endra S. Atmawidjaja said PBNU could choose the land to use in IKN.
"It will be adjusted later or mixed used, right, it can also be done. He can choose where later if it is appropriate, there are several options, he can choose (the length)," Endra said when met by reporters at his office, Thursday, August 22.
Endra said that the government actually had a detailed spatial planning at IKN. Then, the plan was lowered to urban design guidelines (UDG). The ER, he said, functions as a roadmap as well as a reference for all investors who want to invest in the archipelago.
Therefore, Endra explained, PBNU's plan to build organizational facilities, education and health can be accommodated at IKN. However, PBNU must follow the ER.
"There (UGD) has explained the spatial functions, functions in the area. For example, what does PBNU need? Educational facilities, sports, what are they already. Just see where the spatial planning is. Right, we have to see the complete context," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the 100 hectares of land that will be purchased by PBNU, Endra said, there are 56 thousand ha of land available for use by investors at IKN.
"This means that from the availability of land there is," he added.
