BPJS Employment Distributes Donations For Manggarai Fire Survivors

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta BPJS Employment Regional Office together with the BPJS Employment Union (SP) DPW DKI Jakarta provided assistance for fire survivors in the densely populated area of Bali Matraman Village, Manggarai District, South Jakarta as a form of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan's concern with the community affected by the fire disaster on August 13, 2024.

The handover of the compensation was handed over directly by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Office and the DPW SP BPJS Ketenagakerjaan DKI Jakarta Management to the Head of the Welfare Section of Manggarai Village, Tebet District, South Jakarta.

"We BPJS Ketenagakerjaan sebagai Badan Hukum Publik bersama-sama dengan SP BPJS Ketenagakerjaan DPW DKI Jakarta, terhat atas kejadian menimpa warga yang terkena bencana kebakaran sehingga kami layak untuk membantu membantu dampak dari bencana kebakaran warga di Kampung Bali Matraman, Manggarai," ujar Kepala Kantor Wilayah BPJS Ketenagakerjaan DKI Jakarta, Deny Yusyulian, Kamis 22 Agustus.

The hope is that incidents like this will not be repeated in the future and the affected residents will immediately rebuild their lives in the future.

Deny also welcomed and was positive for the initiation carried out by colleagues of the BPJS Employment Labor Union DPW DKI Jakarta who had been together to raise donations to ease the burden on residents who survived the distribution in the Manggarai area.

The assistance provided came from all BPJS Employment personnel in the ranks of the DKI Jakarta Region. The total donations disbursed amounted to Rp. 26,374,456 which were given in the form of worship tools (sarung & mukena) Baby Popok, Baby Milk, Vitamins & medicines, and cash. Meanwhile, the Head of BPJS Employment DPW DKI Jakarta Aryo Nuswantoro said that this initiation was from fellow union administrators and was supported by BPJS Management Ketenagakerjaan DKI Jakarta area to care for others. for residents affected by the disaster.

"Hopefully with the assistance we provide, we can ease and support so that post-disaster recovery can be achieved soon," said Aryo.

The fire disaster took place in Manggarai Village, Tebet District, South Jakarta in the early hours of Tuesday, August 13. 3,332 people from 1,172 family heads (KK) in RW 006 and RW 012 Manggarai Village, South Jakarta were recorded as survivors due to the fire disaster that occurred.
