The Ministry Of PUPR Calls The Auction For The Development Contract Of The DPR/MPR RI Building At IKN Not Yet Existing

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) admits that there has been no auction for the work package for the construction of the DPR/MPR RI Building in the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) to date.

This was conveyed by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of PUPR Mohammad Zainal Fatah when met after a press conference on the Draft State Revenue and Expenditure Budget and the 2025 Financial Note at the office of the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance, Jakarta, Friday, August 16.

"Not yet (there is an auction for the DPR/MPR RI Building). We have not been given an assignment," he said.

Zainal Fatah said that the possibility of the construction of the Parliament Building would be carried out by the upcoming government, namely in the era of the leadership of the President and Vice President-elect Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Because the basic design already exists.

"Maybe (worked by the next government). Basic design already exists. In the past, we made various urban designs. So, right, there are legislative, judicial and presidential buildings," he said.

Previously, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said that the construction of the DPR RI Building at IKN had not been included in this year's plan.

"Indeed, not yet (the DPR RI building was built at IKN)," Basuki told reporters at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, quoted Wednesday, April 3.

"So, I just got data from the Minister of State Secretary (Minister of State Secretary Pratikno), out of 31 organizations whose positions are in IKN, only three are holding groundbreaking," he added.

Basuki said the three ministries/agencies were Bank Indonesia (BI), the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Social Security Administration Agency (BPJS).

Meanwhile, Basuki does not yet have a definite target of when the Parliament Building will be built in the new capital city. Even so, he did not rule out the possibility of laying the first stone or groundbreaking next year.
