Free Nutrition Eating Budget Enters The State Budget, Set At IDR 71 Trillion

JAKARTA - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani has budgeted IDR 71 trillion for a free nutritious dining program which is Prabowo Subianto's flagship program.

Sri Mulyani said that later this budget would be explained by the free nutritious dining team, which until now is still carrying out the refinement process.

"For the priority program, the President-elected free nutritious food, which is Rp71 trillion, is already here (APBN). Later it will be explained from the free nutritious food team which is currently being perfected," said Sri Mulyani at a press conference for the 2025 RAPBN, Friday, August 8.

Furthermore, he said this program aims to create intelligent children and also lead to multiplier local economies.

"It will also be emphasized that the MSMEs are more empowered and the regional economy can move," continued Sri Mulyani.

He also said that he could not explain further regarding the details of Prabowo's flagship program because actually what had been explained was the State Budget during the transition period between President Joko Widodo and Prabowo's cabinet so that the budget specifically could not be conveyed in more detail.

"This significant portion of the budget will later be determined by the elected president," he continued.

Sri Mulyani said that the determination of this budget would initially be submitted to the DPR RI for joint discussion in each Ministry, but the details of this policy would be deepened by the cabinet formed by the Elected President.

"So for the posture of this APBN, it describes the large envelope. But some specific things are that we apologize for not being able to dissipative because the budget will later be given to the new government regarding the format of the cabinet, who will run what program it is," explained Sri Mulyani.

The Free Nutrition Eating program for school children is included in the education budget set at IDR 722.6 trillion.

Even so, he emphasized that the Free Nutrition Food program had developed.

"There has been a movement but I really don't have to announce it and so on," concluded Sri Mulyani.
