East Kalimantan Culinary Entrepreneurs Can Be Blessings From The Momentum Of The 79th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia At IKN

JAKARTA - Culinary entrepreneurs in East Kalimantan (Kaltim) received blessings at the moment of celebrating the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia which was held in the capital city of the archipelago (IKN).

Chairman of the DPD Association for the Implementation of Indonesian Boga Services (PPJI) East Kalimantan, Fitriyana Zoelkifli, revealed that this opportunity is very big because his party has had the opportunity to present a boga service to prepare for the Indonesian Independence Day, one of which is the need for food for the preparation of ceremony officers.

"The momentum of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day at IKN certainly has a positive impact on increasing sales in the culinary sector in East Kalimantan with thousands of guests from outside the area visiting East Kalimantan," he quoted Antara as saying.

However, according to Fitri, although there are many guests who come, not all opportunities can be immediately arrested given the limited resources owned by East Kalimantan.

In the inaugural celebration of the Indonesian Independence Day at IKN, PPJI Kaltim admitted that his party was still in the learning stage and had no experience serving more than 30 thousand guests.

"This is a lesson that human resources in the culinary field, especially in the implementation of local boga services, still need to be improved," he said.

He appreciated the steps taken by the East Kalimantan Tourism Office to assist activists in the creative economy of the culinary sector to obtain competency certificates in food management that are free of charge through hazard-based competency tests and critical control points (HACCP).

Meanwhile, the North Penajam Paser (PPU) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Association (MSMEs) enthusiastically exhibits a variety of distinctive products in the Archipelago Capital Expo.

This event is located in Penajam, East Kalimantan and presents hundreds of products from local MSMEs, with the dominant products culinary, including packaged food, market snacks, fried foods, and processed seafood.

"We hope that the Expo IKN will be a momentum for MSMEs to improve the economy of the local community," said PPU MSME Association chairman Rizal Ramadhan, welcoming this opportunity with optimism.

The culinary products on display include shell ramps, banana preparations, seaweed, amplang, sweet potatoes, and attractive packaging ring cakes.

Rizal also appreciated the support from the IKN authority in promoting MSME products. The IKN Expo in Penajam Paser Utara is considered a step to support the development of MSMEs and regional tourism, especially welcoming the number of guests who come to IKN to celebrate the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day.

The East Kalimantan Provincial Government also plays an active role by continuing to empower creative economy actors (ekraf) to present regional culinary delights.

Head of the East Kalimantan Tourism Office, Ririn Sari Dewi, emphasized that culinary is a mandatory thing that must be promoted to state invitation guests during the celebration of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day in the Capital State of the Archipelago (IKN).

"Expo IKN opens an opportunity for MSMEs to introduce regional potential and show their expertise in presenting East Kalimantan culinary delights to invited guests," he said.
