The Ministry Of PUPR Allocates IDR 255.8 Billion, Builds 1,279 Sarpras Units In 24 Provinces

JAKARTA - Health is an important factor in the formation of quality human resources (HR).

To support this, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has provided sanitation facilities and infrastructure (Sarpras) through the Cash Labor Intensive Program (PKT) in Islamic boarding schools (Ponpes) and religious education institutions (LPM).

In the 2024 fiscal year (TA), the Ministry of PUPR plans the construction of 1,279 sanitation facilities and infrastructure units in LPK with a budget of Rp255.8 billion.

"This program will be implemented in 24 provinces with a target of absorbing 7,674 workers," explained PUPR quoted from its official Instagram account @kemenpupr, Thursday, August 15.

The implementation locations include Daarul Rahman Islamic Boarding School in Riau, Khairil Hikmah in Gorontalo, Darul Huffadz in Southeast Sulawesi, Nurul Anwar in Papua and SMA Advent in Papua.

PUPR explained that this program includes the construction of a bathing, washing and toilet (MCK), a place for ablution, a place for washing hands, a place for washing clothes and an installation of Domestic Wastewater (IPAL-D).

"It is hoped that the provision of this sanitation facility can improve the quality of student life and support clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS)," he added.
