Solo-Purwomartani Toll Road Completed This Year, Here Are The Details Of The Progress

JAKARTA - The Solo-Yogyakarta-YIA Kulonprogo Toll Road Project is currently in the construction stage, especially Section 1 Solo-Purwomartani along 42.38 kilometers (km).

The section 1 construction is divided into two packages, namely Package 1.1 Solo-Claten with a length of 22.30 km and Package 1.2 Klaten-Purwomartani reaching 20.08 km.

Quoted from the upload of the official Instagram account of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of PUPR @pupr_bpjt, Thursday, August 15, the construction progress of Package 1.1 Solo-Klaten has reached 94.91 percent, and Package 1.2 Klaten-Purwomartani at 51.81 percent.

Some time ago, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono has also directly visited the Solo-Yogyakarta-YIA Kulonprogo Toll Road project.

Basuki advised, the toll roads from Solo to Klaten will be completed by the end of August 2024.

Meanwhile, the toll roads from Klaten to Prambanan to Purwomartani can be completed by the end of next year.

Turning to Section 2 Purwomartani-Jc. Sleman. The 15.63 km toll road is targeted for completion of construction in 2026.

Furthermore, Section 3 Sleman-Purworejo along 38.59 km is targeted to complete construction in 2025.

Overall, the Solo-Yogyakarta-YIA Kulonprogo Toll Road is expected to reduce the burden of vehicle traffic congestion on the Yogyakarta-Solo national road, which is currently often in traffic jams, especially towards tourism destinations along the corridors, such as Prambanan Temple and Airport.

"This toll road will later be connected to the Trans Java Toll Road network through the Toll Gate (GT) of Colomadu and will connect three airports at once in Solo, Semarang and Yogyakarta," explained BPJT.

As for the implementation of the toll road construction, the government through the Ministry of PUPR pays attention to and cares about the existence of historical buildings, cultural heritage sites and ancient ones in the Yogyakarta DI area.

In addition, they will pay attention and preserve those around them. Especially the imaginary line in Yogyakarta (crossing DI Yogyakarta from Mount Merapi-Parangkusumo).
