From Women To The Nation: Maintaining Cultural Heritage Through Contemporary Perspectives In Grand Batang City

JAKARTA - In commemoration of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (KITB) presents a special event that combines cultural beauty with modern luxury. KITB presents an inspirational event entitled Srikandi Grand Batang City: Women's Extension and Contemporary Cultural Heritage

The successful talk show and fashion show, which was held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, took place at the Ballroom of the KITB Management Building, which offers a charming sea view and an elegant atmosphere.

The event was attended by hundreds of guests and presented two inspirational figures, namely Indri Septa Respati, Marketing Director & Development of PT KITB, and Anne Avantie, a well-known fashion designer known for her dedication in preserving Indonesian culture. Both share views on how women today can play an active role in maintaining and developing cultural heritage, while remaining relevant in a modern context.

Indri Septa Respati in his speech emphasized that Grand Batang City is a reflection of the spirit of innovation and cultural preservation.

"We believe that women have an important role in shaping a better future, which is in line with our cultural roots. Through this event, we hope to inspire more women to rise and contribute to the nation," said Indri, in his statement, Wednesday, August 14.

"Kebaya, as a symbol of Indonesian women's splendor, is a tangible manifestation of our efforts to protect ancestral heritage," said Anne.

Not only talk shows, this event also features a fashion show that emphasizes the graceful kebaya-kebaya by local designers from Batang. With the background of the Ballroom of the magnificent KITB Management Building and an exciting sea view, every moment in this event feels even more special.
