Menparekraf Sandiaga: The Convexity In IKN Will Be Equipped With A Jogging Track

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno together with the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet accompanied President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin to review the reservoir in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan.

Quoted from the upload of a video on his official Instagram account @sandiuno, Monday, August 12, Sandiaga was seen talking with the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono.

The minister, who is often called Sandi, also asked Basuki about the existence of light sports venues such as morning running or jogging around the reservoir.

"Sir, these 60 reservoirs are estimated by Mr. Bas to be used as jogging tracks or not?" asked Sandi to Basuki.

Then, Basuki replied, 'Oh yes, it's like this, right. This, right, jogging track. This is all connected. So, this is an area of 8 hectares (ha). If it's long, yes, we'll see later," said Basuki.

Then, Sandi told Basuki that he had just checked the air quality at IKN.

The results show that IKN has good air quality compared to Jakarta.

"I just checked the air quality of 6 packs. This is compared to Jakarta 174, far away. I think maybe later there will be a marathon event, Sir (Basuki) here," he said.

"That's right, yes," replied Basuki.

According to Basuki, there are 30 reservoirs that will be completed by the end of this year.

"Our October until December (2024) will be 30 reservoirs. 30 reservoirs until December 2024," he said.

Sandi added that these reservoirs are projected to improve air quality and lower temperatures in the IKN area.

"In addition, this reservoir area will also be equipped with jogging tracks with an estimated distance of 10 kilometers (km)," he added.
