JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) conveyed the addition of the third lane on the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) toll road.

"Currently, it is taking place at KM 87 + 350 to KM 110 + 359 located in Subang Regency, West Java," said PUPR's statement on its official Instagram account @kemenpupr, Thursday, August 8.

The addition of this lane is carried out on the median section of the road by changing the lane which previously consisted of two lanes and one shoulder of the road to three lanes and one road material.

"This change applies to both directions, both to Cirebon and Jakarta," he said.

The project is planned to be completed within the next seven months. "It is hoped that with the expansion of this toll road, the flow of Eid homecoming next year will be smoother," explained PUPR.

Previously, in 2023, the addition of the third lane had also been completed at KM 72+109 to KM 85+850 and around Rest Area KM 86, KM 102 and KM 130.

For your information, the Cipali Toll Road has officially been operating since June 13, 2015. The existence of this toll road can cut the Cikampek-Palimanan route to 40 kilometers (km) compared to passing the North coast (Pantura).
